Continuing our recent tour of concept uber-cars, which has already seen some of the world’s greatest manufacturers toying with our dreams with a series of stunning looking vehicles (and god bless them for doing so) we reach Aston Martin – the James Bond of supercars.
In case you were wondering the Aston Martin VANTAGE GT3 SE is a real car, and it wasn’t built for Gran Turismo 6 like its previous effort even though this very much looks like an in-game screenshot. Nope, this is real – limited edition, of course, with just 100 being made, and apparently combining all of Aston Martin’s years of experience from sports car competition to produce the most performance-focused road-legal vehicle yet. It has a 6.0 litre V12 yet weighs in at 100kg less than the similarly specced standard V12 Vantage S, estimates 0-60 in 3.5s and the top speed will be limited to 185mph, presumably because they haven’t found anyone brave enough to put their foot down.
The 85th Geneva International Motor Show will be its public debut on March 3rd, and if you turn up with a cool quarter of a million you might just get lucky with a pre-order.
