After more postponements than the apocalypse, GTA Online Heists is finally coming early in 2015. This is truly violence, theft, and mayhem for the intellectual, and issues in getting all the complexities just right have been at the root of the game’s delays.
Each heist requires four players all at rank 12 or more, with one player as the designated heist leader. The leader of the heist needs a cashed-up crib from where they can plan and launch missions. The game will launch with five unique strands involving over 20 total missions, amounting to around 20 hours of gameplay. You can get even more if you replay the missions and take on other roles and to try different ways of tackling the missions.
Unlike a heist in Story Mode, every player will be central to the action at all times, whether you’re the getaway driver or busting open the vault or the prisoner the crew need to crack out of the penitentiary because they need your wicked skills. Blood, gore, nudity, drugs, alcohol, a range of artillery that’s the envy of the Israeli army – yes, all your favorite GTA features are still here, plus there’s even an aircraft carrier. Watch out, Los Santos and Blaine County.
