Kickstarter’s crowd-funded campaigns are doing a good deal on watches and Peren is the latest to find its targets achieved with a range of swiss-designed luxury models. Founded by a watch enthusiast, its purpose is to create products at an affordable price point that are unmatched in terms of quality and importantly house the all-important bragging rights of only the best Swiss movements and premium quality raw materials.
Prices are kept low by cutting out the middle man and allowing you to buy direct from the website, but there are no corners cut on the hand-assembled timepieces that draw their inspiration from flying instruments of Second World War IAR-80 fighter aircraft. There are a nice range of styles on offer from stainless steel to gold-coated with hardened crystal mineral scratch-resistant glass and three chronograph indexes with premium quality double-layered leather or steel straps.
Take a look at the range from the above link if you’re interested, where you can pledge from $190 to get your hands on one when they start shipping in February 2015.
