Got a few old skateboards lying around? Say, between four and 44? That’s how many decks Prisma Guitars use to rebirth skateboards to new life full of licks.Prisma is the brainchild of Nick Pourfard, a 22 year-old self-taught woodworker who wanted to jam together his love of music and skateboarding.

True to the hippie heritage of Prisma’s base in San Francisco, the psychedelic blend colors on each and every guitar are completely one-of-a-kind. Demand for these 100% handmade guitars has been so steep that at time of writing, the Corvina was the only one of five models that was left in stock.

This middle-of-the-range Prisma guitar ($2925) is inspired by Rickenbacker with true single-coil pickups controlled with a 3-way switch, with two volumes and two tones. This is a guitar that’s more than just easy on the eye – it’s out to seduce your ears, too.
